Pengalihan Pengelolaan Busway dari UP Transjakarta Jalan Terus

Proses peralihan pengelolaan busway dari UP Transjakarta ke PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) berlangsung dengan baik.

Direktur Utama PT Transjakarta Antonius Steve Kosasih mengatakan hingga bulan ini proses pengalihan tidak menemui hambatan. Baik, progesnya oke dan jalan terus. Ini kita akan rapat mengenai pengalihan aset," ucapnya di Balai Kota, Kamis (20/11/2014).

Aset keuangan dari UP Transjakarta tidak akan diserahkan kepada PT Tranjakarta. Hal ini, jelas Kosasih, dikarenakan keuangan UP Transjakarta akan dikembalikan kepada pemerintah.

Terkait dengan 6.000 pegawai UP Transjakarta, PT Transjakarta akan menampung para pegawai tersebut karena ke depannya tugas PT Transjakarta semakin bertambah dan membutuhkan pekerja dalam jumlah yang tidak sedikit.

"Ke depan kerjaan kita tambah banyak. Ada penambahan armada busway, bus tingkat, penambahan koridor. Itu butuh pegawai banyak," katanya.

Seperti diketahui, status UP Transjakarta diubah menjadi BUMD PT Transjakarta dengan harapan pelayanan kepada masyarakat lebih meningkat. Mulai Januari 2015, pengelolaan busway akan berada di bawah PT Transjakarta.

Basuki: TransJakarta Should Run All of the City’s Public Transport

The newly inaugurated governor of the Indonesian capital wants the city’s public transport operators to join TransJakarta and start using natural gas instead of petroleum-based fuels.

Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, also known as Ahok, said conversion to gas might be an appropriate solution for public transport operators who now have to adapt to higher fuel prices. The government this week slashed its subsidies on gasoline and diesel, which is used by the many of the non-TransJakarta buses plying the city’s roads.

Currently all public transport vehicles in use by TransJakarta use natural gas.

Basuki also suggested that the various public transport operators in the city join TransJakarta, so that set schedules would apply to their services and drivers would receive a monthly salary.

Currently, many bus drivers wait for their vehicle to fill up before they hit the road, as their salary depends on the number of passengers they transport.

“If they join TransJakarta next year, that would be good for them — they can earn up to Rp 5 million [$410] a month,” Basuki said.

An additional advantage, Basuki said, would be that operators would have easier access to bank loans.

“They can purchase new buses, as banks will not reject their credit application,” the governor said.
